The Nintendo Switch 2, as described by Dbrand
In a recent statement, accessory maker Dbrand revealed new information about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. While it’s highly unusual for an accessory manufacturer to publicly share details about a product from a powerful and litigious company like Nintendo, Dbrand has been known for its bold marketing strategies.
According to Dbrand’s statement, the Nintendo Switch 2 will feature a larger design than the existing Switch OLED, with new Joy-Cons that are significantly bigger. The console will also include a second square button under the home button, which is presumably used to eject the triggers from the console. Additionally, the device will have a wide kickstand similar to the one found on the current Switch OLED.
Another notable feature revealed by Dbrand is the inclusion of a second USB-C port on top of the device, allowing users to charge their console while playing in tabletop mode. The current Switch model’s charging port is blocked when used in this manner, making this an attractive addition for many gamers.
Finally, it appears that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be compatible with current games and feature Nintendo Switch Online support out of the box.
It’s important to note that all of these details come from a single source, and as such, should be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism. However, Dbrand has been known for their accuracy in the past, and it is possible that some or all of this information may turn out to be true.
