CES 2025 is just around the corner, and excitement is building for what’s in store. In our latest preview, we’re taking a closer look at some of the most anticipated and innovative technologies that will be showcased on the show floor.
First up, Apple has been making waves with its new AI-powered features, including a recent update to AirPods Pro 2 that offers clinical-grade hearing tests and hearing aid capabilities. While not every audio company can replicate this exact technology, we’re expecting some competitors like Jabra, Samsung, and Google to follow suit by integrating similar health-focused tools into their own earbuds.
Sennheiser is another brand we’ll be keeping an eye on. The company has been a major player in the audio space for years, and its recent introduction of hearing-focused earbuds suggests it might just be the right time for them to bring some of those features to their flagship Momentum line. Imagine a Momentum True Wireless 4 Pro or Plus with advanced hearing assistance capabilities – it would certainly set them apart from competitors.
Another hot topic we’ll be discussing is electric vehicle innovation, particularly in the area of flying taxis. After years of concept vehicles and promises, companies like Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation are finally ready to launch their eVTOL services in 2025. With that in mind, expect more demos and announcements around this tech at CES.
Last but not least, we’re expecting some major advancements in the world of soundbars. Specifically, I’d love to see LG and Samsung take the dialog enhancement features a step further by providing multiple options for users to customize their audio experience. Sonos has already set the bar high with its TV Audio Swap feature and speech enhancement capabilities on the Arc Ultra. While this might not be the most exciting area of innovation, it’s an important one – after all, who doesn’t want better-sounding dialogue while watching TV?
Of course, there are many more announcements to come at CES 2025, but these are just a few areas we’re particularly excited to see evolve.
