New ‘Escape From Tarkov’ Event Gives You A Free Kappa Container
A new event has launched in Escape From Tarkov, and it’s offering one of the most coveted rewards in the game – a free Kappa secure container. The event kicked off today and was announced on the official Escape From Tarkov social media channels.
The event seems to be focused on the character Fence preparing for a deteriorating situation in Tarkov, and challenging players to keep him out. What’s surprising is that the challenge itself has turned out to be relatively easy, and the reward more than justifies the effort.
A new quest called Dark Times has been given to all players, which tasks them with eliminating 30 targets using a TOZ-16 on the Factory map at nighttime. If successful, players will be granted the Kappa secure container, an item that’s normally reserved for those who have reached level 50 and completed a significant portion of the game’s quests.
It’s worth noting that typically, earning the Kappa container takes a considerable amount of time and effort, with many players spending entire wipes grinding to obtain it. In contrast, this event offers the opportunity to earn it without having to put in the same level of dedication.
While some might be concerned about the temporary nature of the reward – as a new wipe is expected to hit later this year, which will remove the Kappa container from all players who have unlocked it – it’s difficult not to see this event as a massive opportunity for those looking to get their hands on one of the game’s most elusive items.
