You Can Now Schedule a DM on Instagram
Instagram has finally rolled out the highly-anticipated feature of allowing users to send scheduled direct messages (DMs). This update allows you to pick a specific time and date to send memes, jokes, or any other type of message to your friends.
To schedule a DM on Instagram, simply long-press on the “send” button after writing your message. You will then be given the option to choose a date and time for the message to be sent. This feature is now available as part of the platform’s efforts to enhance its direct messaging capabilities.
It’s worth noting that this new feature only allows users to schedule text-based messages, meaning you won’t be able to send photos, videos, or GIFs at a later time. However, this still opens up a range of possibilities for how you can use Instagram’s DMs.
In addition to scheduling messages, Instagram has been working on other updates to its direct messaging feature. These include the ability to edit sent messages and draw on photos before sending them. The platform has also added the option to share your live location with friends, similar to Snapchat.
For now, it appears that you can only schedule a message up to 29 days in advance. This may limit some of the potential uses for this feature, but it’s still an exciting development for Instagram users.
