Wicked: Part Two Now Has an Official New Title
The highly anticipated sequel to Jon M. Chu’s blockbuster movie musical, Wicked: Part One, has officially changed its title from the expected “Part Two” to a new, more fitting name. According to Wicked’s official social media channels, the two-parter will now be called Wicked: For Good.
According to insiders close to the production, the change in title is inspired by one of the most iconic and pivotal songs in the Broadway musical, which will also play a huge turning point in next year’s sequel. The song “For Good” centers around the transformative power of relationships, highlighting how Elphaba and Glinda’s lives have been irrevocably changed by their interactions with each other.
The film, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025.
