Nicole Kidman’s life is a far cry from the simple farm life she almost chose. The actress has won numerous awards and broken box office records, but it wasn’t always meant to be.
In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Kidman revealed that at one point in her life, she almost gave up on her acting career to live a more rustic lifestyle in Nashville.
“I have always been someone who wants to keep their feet firmly on the ground,” Kidman said. “I almost didn’t do it [act] because I was gonna buy a farm outside of Nashville and just be a farmer.”
The 54-year-old actress, known for her iconic roles in films like “Moulin Rouge!” and “Big Little Lies,” has come a long way since those early days. Despite the chaos that comes with being one of Hollywood’s most successful actresses, Kidman expressed a deep desire to maintain a sense of normalcy.
“I’ve always been someone who’s very aware of how I’m perceived,” she said. “I want to be grounded and not have people think they can’t relate to me.”
The mother of four – including two daughters with her husband Keith Urban – emphasized the importance of staying true to herself and embracing her own identity.
