**Billboard Asks Locals to Pick the Best Get Up Anthems of LA**
LOS ANGELES, CA – In a city known for its vibrant music scene and 24/7 energy, finding the perfect “get up anthem” can be a challenge. But, in collaboration with Tres Generaciones Tequila, Billboard is determined to find out what tracks locals consider essential morning motivators.
As part of this exclusive initiative, we’ve hit the streets to ask Angelenos for their input on the best get up anthems of LA. From the iconic streets of South Central to the trendy bars of Silverlake, our team has gathered a diverse range of opinions from music lovers across the city.
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s iconic collaboration “Gin and Juice” topped many locals’ lists as their go-to morning pick-me-up. When asked what makes this track so special for them, one fan replied, “Anything I say from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg. Them two together, anything, that’s just chef’s kiss.”
Another popular choice was the laid-back vibes of Tyler, The Creator’s “Earfquake.” As one local put it, “I don’t know what it is about ‘Earfquake’ but every time I press play, I feel like I can take on the day.”
However, not all opinions were in line with the mainstream. One street performer from Echo Park shared a unique perspective, saying, “South Central, you know what I mean? The girls, the cars, the money, the hustle, the culture, the environment. That’s what motivates me to get up and grind every morning.”
These quotes are just a glimpse into the diverse array of opinions we’ve gathered. In an upcoming feature, Billboard will be sharing more insights from our survey as well as highlighting some of the most notable tracks that have emerged.
