Marcus Rashford has shocked Manchester United fans by revealing he’s open to leaving the club in search of a “new challenge”.
In an explosive interview, the England star conceded that he may be ready to move on from Old Trafford after seven years at the club. However, he insisted that his departure would not make a “bad situation worse” and vowed not to cause any more controversy by discussing the reasons behind his decision.
Rashford’s comments come as a major surprise, given his importance to Erik ten Hag’s side this season. He has been an integral part of United’s attack, but there have been growing concerns about his form and fitness over recent months.
When asked directly if he would consider leaving Man United, Rashford responded: “I don’t know what the future holds. I think it’s natural to want a new challenge at some point in your career. I’m not going to sit here and say I’ll never leave Manchester United because that wouldn’t be honest.”
However, Rashford also stressed his commitment to the club, stating: “I love Manchester United and will always do what’s best for this football club. If that means staying, then so be it.”
