Today’s ‘Wordle’ #1278 Hints, Clues And Answer For Wednesday, December 18th
It’s Wordle Wednesday again! I’ve got the hints, clues, and answer for today’s puzzle.
But before we dive into that, let me give you a special holiday-themed challenge. Santa’s Chimney Challenge: Christmas Legends Edition has taken over my mind, and I’m excited to share it with you! It seems I’ve been tasked with delivering presents to five legendary holiday characters, each owning a unique chimney of varying sizes.
I must determine which character is associated with which size and pair the correct gift with their corresponding abode. Clues will be needed to help me solve this puzzle!
The Houses: Frosty’s Snow Fort, The Grinch’s Cave, Rudolph’s Retreat, Scrooge’s Mansion, and Krampus’s Kastle.
The Chimney Sizes (one per house): Huge, Large, Medium, Small, and Tiny
Gift Sizes: Very Big, Big, Medium, Small, and Very Small
Here are the Clues to help me solve this puzzle:
• The Very Big gift cannot fit in the Medium or smaller chimneys.
• The Grinch’s chimney is bigger than Frosty’s but smaller than Scrooge’s.
• The Small gift fits perfectly into Frosty’s chimney.
• “Heft” itself comes from the Old English word hæft, meaning “something held” or “a handle,” which is related to heave, meaning to lift or raise something heavy.
Now, let’s get back to today’s Wordle. After a thrilling Santa’s Chimney Challenge, I’m ready to tackle #1278!
The word hefty originates from the 16th century Scottish word “heft”, meaning weight or heaviness. The term itself has evolved over time, transitioning in the 19th century to describe something large, heavy, or substantial in size or strength.
So, without further ado, I’m excited to share with you today’s Wordle answer: hefty!
I hope you fared well on today’s puzzle! Let me know how you did by reaching out to me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or by commenting below.
