Amazon has announced a delay in its return-to-office mandate for several cities due to a lack of available office space.
The company had previously set a timeline for employees to begin transitioning back to the office, but it seems that logistical challenges have forced them to reassess their plans. According to reports, Amazon is facing difficulties finding suitable and available office spaces that meet its needs in certain cities.
“We are committed to providing our employees with safe and comfortable working environments,” an Amazon spokesperson said. “Unfortunately, we have been unable to find suitable offices in the required timeframe, so we must delay the return-to-office mandate for these locations.”
This news comes as a surprise to many, especially considering Amazon’s massive expansion efforts in recent years.
