
Coinbase Reports Decline in Government Information Requests for 2024
In its latest Transparency Report, Coinbase has revealed a significant decline in government information requests for the year 2024. The report covers all Coinbase services, including coinbase.com, coinbase.com/exchange, and coinbase.com/prime.
According to the report, Coinbase received a total of 10,707 law enforcement and government agency requests throughout the reporting period from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. This represents an 18% decrease compared to the previous year’s figures.
The United States maintained its position as the country submitting the highest number of requests, marking the third consecutive year it has held this title. Germany, UK, and Spain showed a decline in requests, whereas Singapore emerged as a rapidly growing source of enforcement activity.
In total, six countries accounted for approximately 81% of all government information requests. These countries include the United States, European nations like Germany, UK, and Spain, along with other major economies.
