Fortnite has taken a drastic turn with the addition of a melting ice block on its map. The contents inside the ice block have been confirmed by datamining and it reveals that none other than the Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, will be joining the ranks of Fortnite’s iconic skins.
As you would expect, the internet is in an uproar over this sudden and peculiar addition to the game. It appears that once the ice block melts, a giant Mariah Carey will emerge on the map, complete with her infamous rendition of “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Players can already get a glimpse of what the skin looks like through datamining.
It’s important to note that this development comes after Epic Games added Skibidi Toilet and Eminem to the game. It seems as though Fortnite is attempting to create some sort of festive holiday spectacle, complete with a bevy of musical icons joining the fray.
According to the article, it appears that Mariah Carey’s skin will be available for use tomorrow, December 20. However, there is some uncertainty surrounding whether or not the emote will be accessible free of charge.
