De La Ghetto Celebrates Sultry 44th Birthday with Epic Bday Bash
Reggaeton superstar De La Ghetto is celebrating a major milestone – his 44th birthday. And to mark this momentous occasion, he’s not holding back! The iconic singer has shared an intimate Q&A session at the White Claw Sessions where he talks about everything from his hit-making secrets to childhood memories and even his closet love for rock and punk.
As Billboard reports, De La Ghetto – whose real name is Raúl Herrera Cruz – has been a trailblazer in the Latin music scene. With over 20 years of chart-topping hits under his belt, he’s no stranger to sharing his thoughts on life, music, and everything in between.
In this Q&A session, De La Ghetto dished about how his childhood influences shaped his artistic vision: “Growing up in a musical family was key,” he says. “My parents were both musicians, and I started singing at the age of 5. It’s crazy to think that my career has spanned over two decades!”
He also opened up about finding inspiration for his hits: “Sometimes it’s just a vibe, other times it’s real-life experiences. But what sets me apart is staying true to myself and pushing boundaries.”
When asked about his genre-bending approach, De La Ghetto revealed that he’s been a closet fan of rock and punk since the ’80s! Who knew?
“I remember getting into Guns N’ Roses and The Clash back in high school,” he shared. “There was something about their raw energy that spoke to me. It didn’t matter if it wasn’t Latin music; I just connected with the passion.”
But De La Ghetto’s most interesting confession? He admits he might not be perfect, but he always tries his best: “If you’re looking for perfection, you’ll never find it in me,” he joked. “I’m more about speaking my truth and giving 110% to each performance.”
Happy birthday to this legend!
