Sam Altman disputes Marc Andreessen’s description of AI meetings with Biden administration
Famed investor and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has disputed Marc Andreessen’s recent claims about meetings with the Biden administration regarding artificial intelligence. According to Andreessen, his conversations with the administration led him to believe that they aimed to control the development of AI by working closely with a select few big companies, effectively shutting out others through burdensome regulations.
However, in an interview with Bari Weiss, Altman dismissed these claims as “conspiracy theory.” He stated that during meetings with the administration and other stakeholders, there was no discussion or hint at creating regulations to favor certain companies while hindering others.
