‘Nothing Is Cooking’: CZ Roasts Crypto Founder Over Misused Selfie
Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance, has taken to social media to address a recent selfie he took with a crypto founder. The photo in question sparked speculation among fans and followers, suggesting that Zhao was somehow involved with Gauri, a well-known figure in the cryptocurrency space.
However, CZ wasted no time in setting the record straight, stating that there is absolutely nothing cooking between him and Gauri. In fact, he emphasized that they didn’t even have a conversation during the event where the selfie was taken.
“This is exactly how NOT to use a selfie with me,” Zhao stressed in his social media post.
In a follow-up message, CZ cautioned against the misuse of selfies for promotional purposes, highlighting the importance of explicit permission from the subject before using such images.
“Posting selfies when I meet someone I like/admire is normal. But I would never use that to promote my project, unless with explicit permission,” he underscored.
The swift clarification by CZ serves as a stark reminder of the significance of consent and respecting others’ boundaries in today’s digital age.
