Ahead Of ‘Squid Game’ Season 2, Creator Says He’s ‘Sick Of Squid Game’
Netflix has been gearing up for the release of its highly anticipated second season of “Squid Game,” set to debut on December 26th. However, it seems that creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is already exhausted and mentally drained from the experience.
In a candid interview with Variety, Hwang expressed his exhaustion and frustration with the show’s massive success, stating, “I’m so exhausted. I’m so tired. In a way, I have to say, I’m so sick of ‘Squid Game,'” he confessed. “I’m not thinking about my next project right now. I’m just thinking about going to some remote island and having my own free time without any phone calls from Netflix…Not the ‘Squid Game’ island.”
It’s no secret that creating a hit show like “Squid Game” comes with immense pressure and stress. The creator’s admission is a stark reminder of the toll that success can take on an individual.
