Reduce strain on your ports with this 240 USB-C cable that rotates and bends
Japanese accessory maker Sanwa Supply has released a new 240W USB-C cable with a unique design that could help prevent damage to your devices’ ports. The innovative cable features USB-C connectors that can rotate 360 degrees and bend up to 180 degrees, significantly reducing strain on the connections.
This flexible design allows for greater freedom of movement when using a device while it’s plugged in, making it particularly useful for those who need to plug their phone into a tight spot or have limited mobility. The reduced stress on the ports could also extend the lifespan of your devices by minimizing the risk of damage caused by excessive bending or twisting.
While Sanwa Supply is currently only selling the cable through its own online store, and not yet offering it on Amazon or other major retailers in the US and Japan, there are still ways to get your hands on this innovative product. The 1-meter version will set you back ¥2,580 (approximately $16.53), while the 1.8-meter option costs ¥2,780 (around $17.80).
It’s worth noting that while this cable has a higher power output of 240W, it is not capable of charging devices at those speeds. Additionally, data transfer rates are limited to USB 2.0 speeds and top out at 480mbps, which is slower than many other options on the market.
Despite these limitations, Sanwa Supply’s new cable could be a game-changer for those who need a reliable and flexible connection in tight spaces or situations where traditional cables just won’t fit.
