Today’s Wordle #1280 Hints, Clues And Answer For Friday, December 20th
As the winter break approaches, it’s time to tackle today’s puzzle and solve the mystery behind Today’s ‘Wordle’ #1280. As you start, remember that it’s not just about winning; it’s also about enjoying the journey.
The Hint: Individual grass.
The Clue: This Wordle ends with a vowel.
With these hints in mind, I took a deep dive into the puzzle, and here are my findings:
The Answer: BLADE
Throughout this puzzle, I employed various strategies to reach the solution. My opening guess, SPIRE, wasn’t entirely inaccurate but didn’t yield significant progress either. Instead of abandoning ship, I decided to keep it in place for my second attempt.
My next mistake was reusing a previously greyed-out letter (‘R’), which led me down an unfruitful path with FLAKE and then further limited the potential solutions to 5 options. Luckily, I recovered well from this misstep by guessing correctly on my final attempt, BLADE.
As a competitive Wordle player, I’d like to remind everyone that our scoring system is in place to encourage strategic thinking and resilience. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t win today; keep learning and adapting!
To help you better navigate the puzzle, we’ve also included some information on the etymology of the answer. The word “blade” originates from Old English “blæd,” which translates to a leaf or cutting edge of a weapon/tool. This term is rooted in Proto-Germanic “bladą” and shares similarities with Old Saxon blad, Old Norse blað, and Gothic blada.
