Bitcoin Still Viewed as Highly Speculative Asset by Most CFOs
Despite its increasing mainstream acceptance and institutional investment, Bitcoin remains viewed as a highly speculative asset by most Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), according to recent data.
It’s worth noting that Tesla continues to be the top corporate holder of Bitcoin, holding an enormous stake. No other company comes close in terms of the size of their holdings. This could potentially have an impact on how CFOs perceive the cryptocurrency, as it’s likely that many are influenced by this information.
In a recent proposal to assess Bitcoin investment was overwhelmingly rejected by Microsoft shareholders, with over 99% of them voting against it. This further emphasizes the level of skepticism towards Bitcoin adoption among corporate executives.
While some experts predict that Bitcoin could potentially emerge as a store of value by 2026, most CFOs do not currently share this view.
