Apple Warns Users Of iPhone Spyware Attacks—What You Need To Know
In a recent warning, Apple has alerted users to the risk of iPhone spyware attacks. According to reports, Numbers Station’s standalone analyzer solution is being used by various NATO governments and other senior leadership to detect and protect against these types of threats.
The warning comes as concerns grow over the vulnerability of iOS devices to advanced cyber threats from nation-state actors. As explained in a recent interview with Forbes, Caird, representative of Numbers Station, emphasized that most network monitoring security solutions are unable to detect such threats due to the sandboxing security feature of iOS which prevents them from accessing necessary system diagnostic data.
Numbers Station’s solution, however, addresses this issue by using system diagnostic data analysis to uncover anomalies without relying on known indicators of compromise. This approach has already proven effective in detecting and protecting against nation-state threats.
