Title: Trump May Axe Biden’s Cleantech Push But The IRA Is Working
Despite the ongoing controversy and uncertainty surrounding infrastructure investments under President Joe Biden’s administration, the U.S. Department of Transportation has managed to achieve significant progress in the area of clean technology development and deployment. This success is largely attributed to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which was signed into law last year.
According to reports from various sources, including a recent statement from Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, the IIJA has already shown promising results. In fact, Buttigieg stated that roughly 14,000 infrastructure projects have been completed as part of this initiative, with over 66,000 more in the pipeline.
While some critics may argue that these advancements are insufficient or too little too late, it’s essential to recognize that the IIJA is a substantial achievement considering its scope and scale.
