Princess Diana “hated” spending Christmas with the British royal family at their private estate, Sandringham House, and was particularly mortified by a specific tradition that involved exchanging “slightly rude” gifts, an expert claims.
According to Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” Queen Elizabeth II decreed that since the royal family is blessed with unimaginable wealth and luxuries, presents exchanged should be gag gifts in the spirit of whoopee cushions and toilet seats.
Andersen revealed that Princess Diana, the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, was not a fan of this tradition. In fact, she “hated” spending Christmas at Sandringham House with her in-laws, the royal family.

It is claimed that Prince Charles’s favorite gift was an upholstered white leather toilet seat given to him by his sister Princess Anne.
