Sonic Labs has announced the launch of its innovative Sonic Gateway, enabling users to bridge their FTM tokens from Ethereum to S tokens on the Sonic network at a 1:1 ratio. This groundbreaking feature will facilitate seamless integration between the two ecosystems.
As part of this development, the supported assets include EURC, USDC, and WETH, ensuring fast and secure transactions. Furthermore, the Sonic Gateway incorporates advanced security mechanisms, including the use of validators that operate both Sonic and Ethereum Light Clients to maintain transactional security.
The Sonic blockchain is designed to process an astonishing 10,000 transactions per second with block finality in under one second, making it a highly scalable and efficient platform. This feat has been achieved without compromising on robust security features, ensuring the integrity of all transactions.
It’s essential to note that this development will not affect the current operational status of Fantom, as users can continue utilizing the network seamlessly.
