Matt Reeves has recently opened up about the plot of ‘The Batman 2’, which is expected to explore even more complex themes. The director’s vision for the film series remains distinct from the DC Universe, with no intention to integrate it into the larger narrative.
As Reeves delved into the new movie’s story, he highlighted the moral ambiguity that will be present in ‘The Batman 2’. The film will not follow a straightforward “bad guy, I go after bad guys” approach, as the world is filled with gray areas. It’s no longer a clear-cut battle between good and evil.
Reeves explained the situation: “As we enter into the next movie, there’s a lot more grey. There’s a lot more people at odds. There’s a lot more division in the city. It’s a lot more like our world is now, there’s a lot of turmoil because people are in their camps and they’re not communicating.”
