LG has announced the release of a new product that combines indoor gardening with modern home decor. The innovative planter lamp is designed to bring a touch of greenery into the living room while also providing users with the ability to grow their own herbs and plants.
The lamp features an LED grow light and a 1.5-gallon tank for watering cycles, which can be programmed through LG’s ThinQ app. This means that users will be able to keep their plants hydrated even when they are away from home for extended periods of time – up to a week, according to the company.
Two different design configurations have been revealed by LG, including a “modern floor-standing lamp design” and a “new indoor gardening appliance featuring a nature-inspired side table design.” It seems that the company is offering users a choice between a standalone lamp or an integrated planter system.
The product aims to integrate house plant care into what is essentially living room furniture. This means that users will be able to enjoy the benefits of indoor gardening without having to dedicate a separate area to their plants.
Unfortunately, details on pricing and availability have not been disclosed by LG ahead of its January 6 press conference, so it’s unclear when exactly this product will hit the market or how much it will cost.
It’s worth noting that this is not LG’s first foray into indoor gardening. The company introduced a similar product called Tiiun grow system in 2022.
