LG has taken another step towards merging technology with indoor gardening, announcing the development of a unique planter-lamp hybrid designed specifically for urban dwellings. This innovative product aims to provide a convenient and sustainable way for city residents to grow their own plants, eliminating the need for additional furniture or cumbersome planters.
According to TechCrunch, LG has unveiled two distinct configurations, showcasing its commitment to accommodating diverse tastes and lifestyles. The first option features a modern floor-standing lamp design that combines an LED grow light with a 1.5-gallon tank for watering cycles. This setup allows users to regulate the watering process remotely through the ThinQ app, ensuring plants remain hydrated even when away from home for extended periods.
LG has also presented a “nature-inspired side table design” as part of its indoor gardening system. While details on this model are scarce at the moment, the company emphasizes that it offers an easy and enjoyable home gardening experience, further solidifying its position in the market.
The latest product will join LG’s existing plant technology portfolio, including the Tiiun grow system launched in 2022.
