Samsung is making a significant change to its One UI 7 software release. The tech giant has announced that it will allow users of the Galaxy S24-series devices to turn off the “Super HDR” photo feature system-wide, starting with the upcoming Android 15 leak.
The move comes as a relief to some Galaxy S24 owners who have been seeking more control over their device’s display settings. With this new update, users can now disable Super HDR globally through the Advanced Features settings in the Settings app, as opposed to having to do so only within the Samsung Gallery app.
It’s worth noting that Super HDR is a relatively new feature designed to improve the contrast and brightness of images on Galaxy S24 devices. When enabled, it allows still photos to take advantage of the full brightness capabilities of the smartphone’s display, leading to enhanced image quality by increasing contrast between the brightest and darkest parts of an image.
