XRPL Labs Exec Explains Importance of New Amendment
A crucial amendment that added support for Automated Market Makers (AMMs) has gone live on the XRP Ledger, and XRPL Labs Executive believes it could be a game-changer for the ecosystem.
In an interview with U.Today, Kiuru expressed his frustration about how long it took to implement the amendment. He mentioned that some projects were forced to leave the ecosystem due to lack of monetization opportunities. Although these projects are unlikely to return, they have likely paved the way for new ones, which could significantly expand the XRP Ledger’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
The XRPL Labs Executive highlighted that the new amendment has the potential to unlock real opportunities on the ledger. He believes that batch transactions could be a springboard for future ecosystem growth and development.
Although it took some time to implement the amendment, Kiuru is now optimistic about the prospects for the XRP Ledger’s DeFi sector.
