Cardano Founder Drops Major Year-End Update for ADA Holders: Details
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (ADA), has shared a significant update with the ADA community at the end of the year. In his latest keynote address, Hoskinson emphasized the careful consideration and thorough process that went into developing the proposed candidate constitution.
According to the founder, the proposed document represents “two years of discussion, design, debate, and community involvement.” This emphasis highlights the meticulous approach taken by Cardano’s team in creating the governance framework. By acknowledging this extensive engagement, Hoskinson aims to alleviate recent concerns and ensure the community that a significant amount of thought has been put into shaping the Cardano governance structure.
The submission of the governance action for the Cardano mainnet hard fork marks the end of the technical bootstrapping phase and the beginning of on-chain governance. If enacted, this move will enable full governance as described in CIP-1694 to take effect, making Cardano’s decentralized system a reality.
In his address, Hoskinson reassured the community that the governance process has been inclusive and well-rounded, involving diverse stakeholder contributions over the past two years.
