The Montenegro Ministry of Justice has announced that Do Kwon, the founder of Terraform Labs and LUNA, will be extradited to the United States to face federal fraud charges. This move follows a series of legal setbacks for Kwon in Montenegro.
Do Kwon was arrested in March 2023 while attempting to flee the country using a forged Costa Rican passport. He is accused of orchestrating a Ponzi scheme involving the TerraUSD stablecoin, which led to over $40 billion in investor losses.
