Litecoin (LTC) Reaches Historic 37 Million Active Addresses in a Single Day
According to recent reports, Litecoin has achieved a remarkable milestone by reaching an unprecedented 37 million active addresses in a single day. This historic achievement demonstrates the growing popularity and adoption of the cryptocurrency.
The information was gathered using IntoTheBlock data, which revealed that as of December 23rd, Litecoin had 8.25 million addresses with a balance. Notably, 78% of these addresses have been holding onto their LTC for over a year, suggesting that they are long-term investors who typically accumulate during bear markets and sell near high prices.
The report also highlighted that an astonishing 54% of these holders are currently in profit, which further supports the notion that Litecoin is gaining mainstream acceptance. The significant increase in active addresses indicates a sharp rise in user engagement and investment in the cryptocurrency.
It’s worth noting that, as of today, Litecoin has seen nearly 200,000 daily transactions, with most of this activity attributed to payments. This surge in transactional volume underscores the growing demand for Litecoin as a viable payment option.
At the time of writing, Litecoin was trading at $99.38 and ranked 25th on the market valuation scale, boasting a market capitalization of approximately $7.48 billion.
