‘Escape From Tarkov’ Patch Fails to Fix Major Tech Issues
The latest patch for ‘Escape From Tarkov’ was expected to resolve a multitude of technical issues plaguing the game since its recent wipe, but it appears that many of these problems still persist. Players have taken to social media and online forums to express their disappointment and frustration with the patch’s inability to address key concerns.
According to reports, the new patch did little to alleviate concerns regarding micro-stutters, major performance drops, and being kicked from raids as soon as the map loads. Other issues such as losing gear despite successfully extracting, dying but keeping all of their kit, and quests bugging out and not giving proper rewards, including unlocking traders, continue to be a problem.
One particularly egregious issue is the persistence of PvE raids not saving properly, meaning players can extract from a raid without receiving their earned loot. This has sparked widespread discontent among the game’s dedicated community, with many calling for swift action to rectify the situation.
In a bid to placate its user base, Battlestate Games, the developer behind ‘Escape From Tarkov’, has announced that another patch is in the works, which will allegedly address these outstanding issues. While some players are understandably skeptical about the prospect of another patch being able to fully resolve these problems, it’s clear that something needs to be done urgently.
Furthermore, there appears to be a notable performance drop since the latest patch, with many players reporting decreased frame rates and other technical hiccups. Although it’s been acknowledged by the developer as an area for improvement in the coming year, the sudden and unexplained nature of this decline has left many wondering if it’s related to the engine upgrade to Unity 2022.
In any case, it remains to be seen whether future patches will be able to address these pressing issues.
