The report from the Department of Defense (DoD) highlights China’s rapid and unprecedented military growth, which has raised concerns among defense analysts. The US has been monitoring China’s military advancements closely, particularly its development of hypersonic missiles that can evade US defenses.

China is also expanding its naval capabilities, aiming to have more than 370 ships and submarines by the end of the decade, surpassing the number of vessels currently operated by the United States.
