As birth rates continue to drop, it’s crucial to recognize that the right to choose when and how many children to have is fundamental to women’s autonomy. Without this control, women will be forced back into traditional roles, undermining their ability to participate in society as equals.
In 2025, a critical year in which governments may take drastic measures to boost birth rates, it’s essential that we prioritize gender equality and reproductive rights.
