Is your iPhone sharing photos with Apple by default?
Apple has introduced a new feature in iOS 18 called “Enhanced Visual Search” that allows users to search for landmarks and identify locations using the Photos app. However, it appears that this feature is enabled by default on many devices, raising concerns about user privacy.
To access this feature, go to Settings > Photos (or System Settings > Photos on a Mac) and toggle the “Enhanced Visual Search” switch to the right. This will enable the ability to look up landmarks in photos taken using the iPhone’s camera.
