Apple TV+ will be free to stream this weekend
In a surprise move, Apple has announced that its streaming service, Apple TV+, will be available for free to access and stream this upcoming weekend. The company made the announcement on Monday alongside a short video showcasing some of its most popular TV shows.
Starting from January 4th to 5th, anyone can access and watch content on the platform without having to subscribe or sign up for an account. This is the first time Apple has offered such an opportunity, and it’s unclear what prompted this decision at this time.
The free streaming weekend comes as a surprise, considering the usual $9.99 per month price tag of the service. However, the company may be looking to draw in new viewers who are interested in exploring its content without committing to a subscription.
Apple TV+ is currently priced at $9.99 per month and allows up to six members of a Family Sharing group to watch content under a single subscription.
