
A16z Sues IRS Over New DeFi Rules
In a shocking turn of events, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), one of the most prominent venture capital firms in the blockchain industry, has filed a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regarding its recent DeFi regulations.
According to reports, a16z is taking issue with the IRS’s new rules for decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and their requirement for Know Your Customer (KYC) information from all users. In an interview with CryptoSlate, Hayden Adams, creator and CEO of Uniswap, expressed his concerns over these regulations, stating that they “will significantly hinder the growth of DeFi and blockchain as a whole.”
Stephen Akridge, co-founder of Solana, has also been accused of misappropriating millions of dollars in crypto gains from his ex-wife.
