LG Unveils Three New OLED Gaming Monitors — Including World’s First 5K2K Bendable Model
LG has officially revealed three new UltraGear OLED gaming monitors, including the world’s first 45-inch 5K2K bendable model. The company is also introducing a 39-inch alternative that maintains the same level of performance and features as its larger counterparts.
The standout device in this lineup is undoubtedly the 45GX990A, which boasts an unprecedented combination of specifications. As mentioned earlier, it’s the world’s first 45-inch 5K2K OLED gaming monitor with an 800R curvature and DisplayPort 2.1 support. The latter feature allows for more efficient connectivity to compatible devices.
The 45GX950A is another significant addition to this lineup. While it doesn’t offer bendable functionality like its larger counterpart, it still offers a respectable level of performance. It also comes with an 800R curvature and DisplayPort 2.1 support, making it the world’s first 5K2K OLED gaming monitor with that particular feature.
The third model in this series is the 39GX90SA. This device maintains most of the same features as its larger counterparts but at a more compact scale. It still offers HDMI 2.1 connectivity and a USB-C port, which can handle both DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery up to 90W. Additionally, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro/Nvidia G-Sync variable refresh rate systems.
All three monitors have the same level of performance in terms of response time (0.03ms), true black levels thanks to VESA’s DisplayHDR certification, and an impressive 240Hz or higher refresh rate. WebOS smart service is also included with each monitor to ensure seamless integration with various devices and streaming services.
Pricing information for these new monitors has yet to be disclosed by LG.
