LG has unveiled three new UltraGear gaming monitors at CES 2023, and they’re all worth taking a closer look at. The most impressive of the bunch is the 45-inch 21:9 45GX990A OLED model. Not only is it the world’s first 5K2K OLED gaming monitor with a bendable design, but it also features a whopping 800R curvature that sets it apart from its competitors.
One of the most notable upgrades here is the 5K2K resolution (5120 x 2160), which will provide gamers with an unprecedented level of detail and immersion. The screen supports a 0.03ms GtG response time, ensuring smooth gameplay even in the fastest-paced titles.
In addition to its impressive specs, this monitor also features LG’s proprietary technology that can adjust the curvature to suit individual preferences. This is a game-changer for those who want a truly personalized gaming experience.
The other two monitors announced by LG are slightly less impressive but still incredibly powerful devices. The 39-inch 39GX90SA OLED model boasts a fixed 800R curvature and WQHD resolution (3840 x 1200). While it doesn’t match the specs of its larger counterpart, it is still an extremely capable gaming display.
Both new monitors support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync variable refresh rate systems for seamless gameplay. LG’s WebOS smart service also makes it easy to access streaming services and video content outside of gaming.
It’s worth noting that both the 45-inch and 39-inch models have received VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification, which means they can reach true blacks in order to provide a more immersive experience.
LG hasn’t shared pricing information yet, but we’ll be sure to update this article once we get our hands on some official numbers.
