King Charles has honored his royal doctors for their “personal service” in the latest New Year’s Honours list, as a thank you for their dedication and care during his recent battle with cancer.
The 74-year-old monarch, who has been open about his health struggles, has recognized the efforts of Dr. Andrew Thornhill, Dr. Jane Manton, and Dr. Richard Pennington in the prestigious honors list.
It is understood that King Charles was treated by these medical professionals during a recent hospital stay for his cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
A source close to the royal family told us: “The King has expressed his gratitude in the most sincere way possible – by recognizing their hard work and dedication in this year’s Honors List.”
“It is not just about the treatment he received, but also the care and compassion shown by these doctors during a difficult time for the Royal Family,” they added.
This marks the second consecutive year that King Charles has recognized his medical team in the New Year’s Honours list.
