Samsung Makes a Surprise $374 Offer to Galaxy S24 Ultra Buyers
In a surprise move, Samsung has announced a generous offer for Galaxy S24 Ultra buyers. The tech giant is gifting a free Chromebook Go laptop worth £299 ($374) with the purchase of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, in addition to an existing discount and enhanced trade-in prices.
The promotion applies only to shoppers in the U.K., where the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be discounted by £100 ($125). This offer is valid until January 16th. In contrast, Samsung is running a huge trade-in deal for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the United States. However, there is no mention of a free Chromebook gift.
To claim the free Chromebook Go, buyers must purchase the Galaxy S24 Ultra and submit a claim through the Samsung offers website within 30 days of buying the handset. The claim form will request basic information about the purchase and the device’s IMEI number. Once submitted and approved, Samsung will ship the Chromebook.
While the process may be lengthy, this is an excellent deal that comes with an expensive freebie. Samsung has run similar promotions in the past, offering free Galaxy Watch FE devices or Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablets to U.K. shoppers.
In contrast, Samsung’s trade-in program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is far more generous for users based in the United States. The company will pay $650 for the Galaxy S21 Ultra when purchasing the Galaxy S24 Ultra, a significant difference of 57% compared to the £275 ($220) offered to British buyers.
The Chromebook offer and trade-in prices can be accessed through the Samsung Shopping app, which will knock off an additional 5% from the order with the code “APP5”.
It is unclear why this surprise offer has been extended to Galaxy S24 Ultra buyers in the U.K., but it seems like a great opportunity for those who are considering upgrading their device.
