**The Worst Tweets of 2024**
As the year comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on some of the most…interesting tweets from the past 12 months. And boy, do we have some doozies.
First up, we have Laura Loomer, who took aim at Elon Musk in a tweetstorm that was equal parts baffling and cringeworthy. The former MAGA influencer decided to go after Musk for some reason, tweeting “Oh — I see what’s happening @elonmusk You’re trying to steal the show with your little AI doll. Newsflash: IT WON’T WORK #MAGA” followed by more of the same.
But Loomer wasn’t done yet! She then took aim at Donald Trump, because of course she did, tweeting “I know @realDonaldTrump will be the one to save America and bring back REAL Twitter #MAGA”. Yeah, good luck with that, Laura.
And finally, Elon Musk himself gets in on the action by agreeing with a tweet saying Americans aren’t smart enough for tech jobs. Because who doesn’t love a little bit of nationalism with their morning coffee? The billionaire’s endorsement only added fuel to the fire, sparking a heated debate about the value of STEM education and the like.
But wait, there’s more! We also saw some of the most…creative takes on AI, with former FCC head Ajit Pai asking the Supreme Court to uphold a TikTok ban. Because who doesn’t love a good dose of xenophobia with their daily scroll?
And that’s not even mentioning some of the more…out-there comments from Elon Musk himself, like when he compared Apple’s Siri to a “dwarf in a suit” or claimed that AI might be “better than us”. Yeah, because nothing says “insightful” like comparing a virtual assistant to a small person wearing formal attire.
