‘Nosferatu’ Star Says He’d Take On Either Batman or Joker Roles in the DC Universe
The iconic German silent horror film “Nosferatu” has gained immense popularity, and one of its stars, Bill Skarsgard, is generating buzz after expressing his interest in taking on either Batman or Joker roles within the DC Universe.
In a recent interview, Skarsgard revealed that he believes Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker is the best iteration to date. It comes as no surprise then that he would be open to playing the Clown Prince of Crime.
“I think there’s a really cool f***ing Joker in me probably somewhere,” Skarsgard stated, hinting at his suitability for the role. It wouldn’t come as a shock if DC Studios were to approach him with an offer considering his recent success in playing Count Orlock in “Nosferatu.”
However, it’s not just the Joker that has piqued his interest; he also expressed a desire to take on the mantle of Bruce Wayne, aka Batman. When asked about this possibility, Skarsgard didn’t shy away from the opportunity, indicating that he’d be more than happy to don the cowl.
While some might view Skarsgard’s potential casting as an unexpected choice for these roles, his recent performances have demonstrated his versatility and ability to adapt to a wide range of characters. This has led many fans to speculate about his chances of being approached by DC Studios in the future.
It’s worth noting that Skarsgard recently denied claims that he was auditioning for Lex Luthor alongside his brother Alexander Skarsgård, stating that they were simply misinformed and had no part in such auditions. This clears up any confusion regarding previous rumors surrounding their involvement.
While it remains to be seen whether DC Studios will indeed consider Skarsgard for these iconic roles, fans are already ruminating over the prospect of seeing him bring new life to these beloved characters.
