Apple TV Is Free This Weekend — Here’s What You Should Watch
Are you looking for some entertainment over the long weekend? Well, I’ve got some great news – Apple TV is offering a vast array of its content for free this weekend! As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things entertainment, I’ve taken the liberty of curating a list of my top picks to help guide your viewing decisions.
First off, let me recommend Oppenheimer, a 3.5-hour-long epic that’s not only long but also quite bleak. However, it’s an important piece of our collective history and will undoubtedly leave you haunted by its troubling implications about human nature and greed.
For something lighter, I’d suggest checking out Bad Monkey instead. This comedy was one of my personal favorites in 2024, despite being a non-fan of Vince Vaughn’s humor. The show follows Andrew Yancey, a Miami police detective with a big mouth and keen eye for solving crimes. After getting fired from his job, he finds himself working as a food inspector in the Florida Keys before stumbling upon a mysterious severed arm that leads him on a wild goose chase.
Another standout is Ted Lasso, which I believe offers a unique and feel-good experience. While the later seasons might not be to my taste, this show’s initial season has an undeniable charm that makes it worth watching. The story revolves around Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, an American football coach who is brought over to England to coach a soccer team despite having no prior knowledge of the sport.
Lastly, if you’re in the mood for some dystopian sci-fi, Silo might be right up your alley. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette Nichols, an engineer who’s appointed sheriff and must investigate not only murder but also the mysterious cabal that rules over the massive underground silo where the story takes place.
But that’s not all! Apple TV has a plethora of other content available for free this weekend, including Masters Of Air, Bad Sisters, Presumed Innocent, Foundation, Dark Matter, The Tragedy Of Macbeth, Fly Me To The Moon, Fancy Dance, Wolfwalkers, and Napoleon Finch.
