Bandai Wants Gundam to Take Over Tabletop Wargaming
If you’ve wanted more Gundam outside of anime and video games, Bandai hopes the Gundam Assemble tabletop game will pique your interest. This weekend’s Bandai Card Games Fest saw the company announce Gundam Assemble, a tabletop wargame that employs 5cm figures for players to engage in different scenarios. Some storylines within the game are set within the franchise’s original narrative, while others aim to transcend it. The overarching goal is to balance familiarity with distinctness.
The starter figures, which come in unpainted form, each possesses unique abilities and covers significant events across the Gundam series’ history, from its initial run to regional favorites Wing and Seed, as well as Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuux.
