John Deere’s new robot lawnmower is coming for landscapers’ jobs
John Deere has unveiled a new electric robot lawnmower at CES 2025, which the company claims can operate for up to 10 hours on a single charge. The autonomous mower uses four pairs of stereo cameras, one on each side, to perceive its surroundings in a 360-degree view.
In addition to its long runtime and advanced sensors, John Deere emphasizes that the robot lawnmower is much quieter than traditional gas-powered alternatives, allowing for earlier morning jobs, which was cited as a major challenge by a landscape management software company.
