US Prosecutors: Do Kwon’s Terra Crash May Have 1 Million Victims
In a recent filing, United States prosecutors have estimated that the impact of Do Kwon’s Terra ecosystem crash could potentially reach over one million victims worldwide. The catastrophic event occurred in 2022, resulting in numerous bankruptcies within the crypto industry.
The government is planning to notify all affected individuals and entities about their rights in the ongoing criminal proceedings against Kwon. However, due to the complexity of identifying victims, as many transactions were conducted on foreign exchanges or through anonymous digital wallets, a dedicated website will be created to disseminate information about the case.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Daniel Gitner’s filing dated January 6, “The Government estimates that the number of victims in this case exceeds hundreds of thousands of individuals and entities, and potentially totals more than one million.”
