Satechi’s M4 Mac Mini hub will launch in February for $99.99
Satechi has announced that its Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub, which offers additional ports and storage expansion capabilities, will be available starting on February 17th, 2025 for a limited time through the company’s online store at a price of $99.99. A wider release is expected to begin sometime in March.
The hub is designed to enhance the functionality of the Apple Mac Mini M4 by providing three front-facing USB-A ports – two are USB-A 3.2 and one is USB-A 2.0 – as well as an SD card reader. The product’s aluminum construction features a soft-touch silicone coating, which provides a secure grip.
In addition to its added port options, the Satechi hub also allows users to expand their Mac Mini M4’s storage capabilities by installing an NVMe SSD with a capacity of up to 4TB. This is achieved through a removable panel on the bottom of the device.
The hub connects to the Mac Mini M4 using a USB-C cable that can be stored away when not in use, reducing clutter and maintaining airflow without obstructing the computer’s fan. A notch at the back corner of the product provides easy access to the Mac Mini M4’s power button, ensuring that users do not have to disassemble their device to adjust settings.
For comparison, expanding the storage on a base version of the Mac Mini M4 from 256GB to 2TB through Apple would cost $800. Alternatively, upgrading the 12-core model from 512GB to 4TB would be an additional $1,200.
