This baseball radar gun plugs into an iPhone
At CES 2025’s Eureka Hall startup showcase, CaiqueTech has unveiled a novel take on the traditional baseball radar gun. The Korean firm has shifted from building a standalone device to a modular version that can be directly plugged into a phone via the USB-C port.
The PI SpeedGun module features built-in radar technology, which records speed and other vital statistics during gameplay. The company did not have any live demonstrations of the product at the event, as attendees were able to try it out by walking past the booth. Unfortunately, the accuracy of the system could not be verified under these circumstances.
However, CaiqueTech has plans to bring the PI SpeedGun to market in the near future. According to a representative from the company, the product will become available on Kickstarter around June and carry an asking price of approximately $150. This could prove to be a useful tool for amateur players looking to track their performance.
