‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2 Release Date Revealed In Action-Packed New Trailer
HBO has finally released a new trailer for the highly anticipated second season of its hit post-apocalyptic drama, ‘The Last Of Us’. The action-packed teaser provides no hints about the plot but does reveal the release date – the series will return to HBO in April. While HBO hasn’t specified an exact date yet, it’s likely that the show will premiere after the conclusion of ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 finale on April 6th.
The second season will be shorter than its predecessor, consisting of just seven episodes instead of nine. However, creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have assured fans that Season 3 will be “significantly larger” with a possibility of a fourth season as well. It is likely that the second video game from Naughty Dog is being split into two seasons for the purposes of this adaptation, which would mean events might take place in a different order than they did in ‘The Last Of Us Part II’.
Without giving away any spoilers, it seems like a wise decision to adapt the games in this manner. I am excited to see how the story unfolds and look forward to both ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 and ‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2.
Before these shows drop, fans have another exciting lineup of content to look forward to, including ‘Severance’ Season 2 on Apple TV as well as ‘American Primeval’ and ‘The Night Agent’ Season 2 on Netflix.
